Double Baggage Allowance for students - British Airways
British Airways announced double baggage allowance for students travelling from India. Students can now take all of their cherished possessions as they travel to study in the UK, Europe,US or Canada, the airlines said in a press release.
The offer allows an extra piece of luggage weighing up to 23kg, in addition to the current checked baggage allowance of one piece of luggage for the UK and Europe, or two pieces of luggage for destinations in the US and Canada.
British Airways, has also partnered with popular brands to enable its student travellers to benefit during their travel experience. There are retail offers from Jabong and Macy's, free mobile talk time with Matrix, offers with HDFC Credila Student Loans and exclusive benefits on ICICI student travel cards.
"British Airways is proud to support students from India with our convenient schedules and easy connections throughout the UK. We understand students' requirements and expectations while travelling aboard for their school term. It is our constant endeavour to make their travel experience with us as convenient and as stress-free as possible," said Moran Birger, British Airways' regional commercial manager, South Asia said.
"In addition, our codeshare with American Airlines gives young customers the ability to choose an extensive worldwide network. Our award-winning home Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport ensures seamless travel for students to make flight connection via London," he added.
The British Airways student offer is tailor-made for students holding valid visas for the UK, Europe, US and Canada. The outbound travel must be completed on or before March 31, 2016, originating in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad or Chennai.
The extra baggage is only valid one way, on the outbound half of the journey.
